Chapter 29, verse 11 in the book of Jeremiah states; “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Grand Polemarch Jimmy McMikle shared, “That was his favorite bible verse because it was his constant source of motivation to execute on the purpose and expectation that he felt God placed on his life. He told me that any and every positive truth that history would document about him would simply be describing ‘the plans’ that God had for him. And history has docu- mented a substantial (more than 50 year) track record of how he led and motivated men to inspired action while developing their potential. I am one of his development/ mentoring stories. His life is a case study of personal, professional, and fraternal accomplishment.” The promise for lead- ership was evident in a young Samuel C. Hamilton during his junior high and high school days where he would serve as a leader in the Student Government Association. Hamilton was a standout student athlete. He led on the gridiron as

O n June 15, 2023, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., mourned the loss of it’s 30th Grand Polemarch and 75th Laurel Wreath Laureate, Samuel C. Hamil- ton Grand Polemarch
Hamilton will forever be remembered as a shining star in the history of this noble fraternity; a perfect example of achievement in every field of human endeavor; a loyal family man; a dedicated man of
God; a community giant, and one the most mean- ingful change agents in the history of our noble clan. His profound life and leadership legacy is defined by three consistent, recur- ring pillars: accountability,
