Hall of Fame. In 2019, the Atlanta City Council named its chambers after Arrington. A Life Member of the Fraternity, Arrington, over the years, affiliated with the Atlanta (GA) Alumni Chapter. He served on the board of trustees of Clark Atlanta University and Emory University. He was chairman of the Emory Advisory Committee of Black Alumni. He was also a member of the National Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, Lawyers Club, Gate City Bar Association Hall of Fame, Kiwanis Inter- national, and Lindsay Street Baptist Church. In February 2023, Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington, Jr. (Eta Sigma 1991) released a biographical documentary on his father called “Bow Legs.” Arrington, Jr. was the executive producer of the documentary. On July 27, Arrington’s body lay in the state at the Atlanta City Hall Chambers. Brother Arrington is survived by daughter Michelle, son Marvin Jr., former wife Marilyn. His legacy endures at Emory University, which houses the Marvin S. Arrington Papers, 1980-2004. ♦

Dr. Wilfred Ball, Jr. 1932-2022

D r. Wilfred R. Ball, Jr., entered the Chapter Invisible on Friday, April 14, 2023. He was 91. Wilfred Randolph Ball, Jr., was born in Chicago, IL, on January 3, 1932. He was raised in Commerce, GA, by a family that valued educa- tion highly. He earned a B.S. degree from Morehouse College in 1952, an M.S. degree from Atlanta Uni- versity in 1955, and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 1965. In the 1950s, he taught
