Balboa Park: The Central Park of San Diego! Balboa park is a 1,200-acre historic urban cultural park. In addition to open space areas, natural vegetation zones, green belts, gardens, and walking paths, it contains museums, several theaters, and the San Diego Zoo. Hotel Del Coronado: This historic beach resort is known for its movie making celebrity roster. Hotel Del Coronado has been a storied SoCal vacation destination for Hollywood stars since its e arliest days, with esteemed visitors such as W.C. Fields, Douglas Fairbanks, L. Frank Baum, and Charlie Chaplin. Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial: Mount Soledad is a prominent landmark. The mountaintop is the site of the Mount Soledad Cross, the subject of a 25-year controversy over the involvement of religion in government which concluded in 2016. San Diego Beaches: You can’t come to San Diego without visiting the beaches. Visit La Jolla Cover, Mission Bay, Fiesta Island, Del Mar Dog Beach, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, or Windansea Beach. Seaport Village: This village offers eclectic gifts and souvenirs with 50-plus diverse shops, 17 unique eateries and four bayside restaurants. With four miles of meandering cobblestone pathways bordered by ponds, lakes, fountains and colorful landscaping, plus a quarter-mile slate boardwalk along the San Diego Bay. USS Midway Museum: The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego, CA at Navy Pier. The museum consists of the aircraft carrier Midway. The ship houses an extensive collection of aircraft, many of which were built in Southern California. The Whaley House: Experience San Diego’s most iconic attraction! In the heart of Old Town San Diego, this house is home is known to be haunted by ghosts. L. Frank Baum House: One of Coronado’s historic homes. If your a fan of the Wizard of OZ, then this is a cool old house to check out. L. Frank Baum the famous author rented this house where he completed three books of the series: “Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz,” “The Emerald City of Oz” and “The Road to Oz.” This house is not open to the public, but is a great photo op.
