DRIVEN AUTOMOTIVE KEEPING YOU SAFE IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT by Lee Ann Atwater A nyone that has taken their vehicle into Driven Automotive in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia understands that Jamanda

Doyle, the owner and general manager, and her team are focused on customer service and being open and honest when it comes to keeping you safe in the driver seat and moving your busy life in the right direction. While chatting with Jamanda about her journey and why it is important to her that the brand be synonymous with honesty and integrity. Getting started in any business regardless of the industry is hard, building a respected and rep- utable brand in the automobile repair industry can be very stressful and demanding, but for Jamanda Doyle and Rob Newell the motivation was the easy part. Jamanda and her partner, Rob Newell, were both working for a local dealership, Jamanda as a salesperson and her partner, Rob, was a Red Seal automotive technician and both were on commission-based pay structure. Basi- cally, you have targets to meet to keep the bills paid. The two believed if we were going to work this hard pleasing and retaining their customers at the dealership, why not use their skills, experi- ence and loyal customer following and decided to take the leap of faith and jump into the crazy world of entrepreneurism. The pair opened the door, or should we say bays, to Driven Automotive in 2012 using the follow- ing Mission Statement as the foundation of their business and brand.

“We have specialized service, tools and parts for all makes and models. We also have access to all manufacturers’ service manuals, maintenance schedules, and even safety recall notices and service bulletins.”
