Nile Basin Sustainability Framework Since the 1990s, countries have made agreements to share the Nile’s water. In 2011, the Nile Basin Sustainability Framework (NBSF) was approved to manage water resources. Advanced technology means the up-to-date water flow and rainfall data are available, enabling cooperation in sustainable water management.
