10.13 SkillBuilder activity CONCLUDING AND DECISION MAKING AND COMMUNICATING This lesson has shown the extremes of hunger and the impact on liveability. Let us now look locally at how liveability can be compromised and also enhanced. 1. Choose three of the Sustainable Development Goals shown in FIGURE7 .

2. Choose one local place (e.g., park, street, school, shopping strip). Look at your three relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and complete the following: a. Assess: Using brief dot points, describe how well the place meets each SDG. b. Improve: Suggest one realistic improvement for each SDG that would make the area more sustainable or livable. c. Bonus: Create a simple ‘before and after’ sketch or description of your improvements. You may repeat this for other local areas of your choice.
