16.4 SkillBuilder activity INVESTIGATING Sustainability is important for people, businesses and the government. In 2022, billionaire Mike Cannon Brookes, a recognised climate advocate, became the largest shareholder of the publicly listed Australian energy company AGL. This was a strategic move to force the business to reduce their use of coal ýre plants and move to cleaner energy methods. Work alone or in pairs to suggest ways in which businesses can be more sustainable. Choose one of your ideas and research it further. As an example, you may decide a business can be more sustainable by using solar power. Research what solar power is and how it might be used by a business to make it more sustainable.
