10. Rare 1925 Exhibits Champions Babe Ruth (HOF) - PSA VG-EX 4

The only baseball player included in the 32-card multi-sport “World’s Champions” issue, Babe Ruth strikes a majestic drive to right field as his eyes follow the shot in the distance. One of the finest images of all his Exhibit cards, it is also one of his most rare, with just 25 examples graded and only three higher. There have been startlingly few examples of this card having sold publicly in the last decade. This example has been graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, with a clean surface and outstanding image quality. The only Exhibit card of Ruth featuring this photo, it is quite a stunning card. Light chipping is visible at all four corners and upon closer examination of the edges, the card is accurately graded, yet still incredibly pleasing. Aside from the extremely tough 1923 issue, perhaps the most highly-prized of all Ruth’s Exhibit cards. MINIMUM BID: $10,000

11. 1907-09 H.M. Taylor Tigers Postcards Ty Cobb (HOF RC) - PSA VG 3

Outstanding horizontal postcard picturing Ty Cobb, considered along with the Dietsche, Wolverine News and Novelty Cutlery Postcards to be the rookie cards of the Georgia Peach. Prices for the various 1907 postcard and photo issues related to Cobb continue to skyrocket as collectors covet the earliest collectibles related to the great Tigers outfielder. Presented is a clean example with no writing or postal marks. Wear is related to handling, with some even corner rounding and minor surface wear. Some age-related toning and one tiny spot is visible on the reverse. An exceptional piece, one of Cobb’s most desirable early collectibles. MINIMUM BID: $5,000
