Digital Music Composition and Production Year - 1 credit Prerequisite: Instructor Approval

This course offers an introduction to the world of sewing and fashion, where students will master both hand and machine sewing techniques. Through a variety of engaging creative projects, they will learn to design original pieces and create basic garment patterns. Students will have the exciting opportunity to sew for unique audiences and one-of-a-kind events, including designing theatrical costume elements for the school musical, crafting non-traditional pillows, making functional bags, and creating a custom “haute couture” look for the 2026 student catwalk recycled fashion event in West Palm Beach. Additionally, the course provides opportunities for community service and entrepreneurship, allowing students to apply their skills in meaningful, real- world ways. This class allows students to explore their creativity, develop valuable hands-on skills, and create fashion for truly special occasions.

This course is for students who want to bring their musical ideas to life through the art of composition within the digital realm. Students will study musical personalities that have impacted the digital music industry. They will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software and hardware while delving into concepts of sound design, mixing, and mastering, from electronic beats to film scoring and more. Voice Coaching Year - 1 credit Prerequisite: Instructor Approval This course is for students who want to develop their vocal abilities under the guidance of experienced voice coaches. Students will explore techniques for breath control, pitch accuracy, and vocal expression as they work on a diverse repertoire of songs spanning various genres and styles.

Theatre for the Show Semester - 0.5 credit Prerequisite: None

In this course, students will develop their acting skills, creativity, and stage presence through improv and scripted scene work while preparing for a full production. Throughout the semester, students will work with guest artists and industry professionals who will provide expert guidance in performance techniques, scene study, and direction. The semester culminates in a fully staged production, showcasing students' growth as performers. Jazz Band Year - 1 credit Prerequisite: Instructor Approval This performance ensemble is for students who want to explore the diverse history of jazz, from its origins to modern-day expressions, within a collaborative ensemble. Exploring foundational rhythms and iconic compositions, students will delve into the evolution of jazz styles while honing their improvisational skills. By embracing both tradition and innovation, students will cultivate a deep appreciation for the genre's rich legacy while exploring its contemporary relevance. All instruments including voice are welcome.
