The CAM2 ® ASSURE program is a defined quality management and performance assurance program developed specifically by and for CAM2 ® . This program is designed to establish an ongoing and dynamic process to assure our customers that every gallon of CAM2 ® lubricants sold and/or used anywhere in the world will meet and often exceed the performance levels desig- nated for the product independent of where the product is manufactured. Additionally, this program will be used to insure the continued reputation of CAM2 ® as a premium quality, high performance brand in the marketplace.
THE CAM2 ® ASSURE PROGRAM AT ALL STAGES OF THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT In the development phase of a product, CAM2 ® ’s marketing, product development, and quality/ manufacturing personnel work closely with the top additive companies to make sure the products we develop to manufacture and sell will meet and/or exceed the performance, quality and competitive market cost expectations of our customers. PRE-MANUFACTURING Before any product is manufactured our quality management team : Verifies that our proprietary and third party facilities manufacture our products in secure systems dedicated to product family, assuring us and our customers of no cross contamination between incompatible product lines and that the product will be thoroughly tested at all stages every time it is manufactured. Develops a detailed product manufacturing formulation, a specific manufacturing procedure and appropriate quality assurance testing procedures specific to the product. MANUFACTURING Any facility approved to manufacture a CAM2 ® branded product will have a full time CAM2 ® quality management employee placed on-site by CAM2 ® . In addition, facilities manufacturing CAM2 ® product must operate using rigid and detailed operational and quality control procedures approved by CAM2 ® ’s Quality Control Team. Procedures include: Approval of all raw materials and formulations to be used before any production is started Raw Materials received at CAM2 ® facilities are quality checked prior to being off-loaded into a tank. Samples are taken from both the top and bottom of the shipment vessel to ensure consistency throughout the load. Laboratory analysis that is performed on raw materials is based on characteristics of the given material.
Quality Criteria • Kinematic viscosities • Elemental quantities • Elemental contamination • Foreign contamination (water, etc…) • Valid Certificate of Analysis • Vessel top & bottom comparative samples
Monitoring and testing of the production process before, during and after final production, including the packaging phase. Packaged samples are pulled from the beginning, middle and end of a run for testing to verify product meets specification. An on-site CAM2 ® quality control manager oversees the entire process. In the 1st step of the packaging process the filling lines are tested for viscosity and metals, confirming they are clean and ready to process new product. Once approved, the 1st set of bottles are filled and a quality control auditor tests product to verify it matches specification. Once this is approved, the packaging line begins filling bottles and product is retested throughout the run. The product line operator pulls samples from the begininng, middle and end of run for retesting to confirm that the product is of the highest quality. Segregation of product families in transporting and loading. Loaded product retested using top and bottom samples from vessel. Certificate of analysis created, reviewed and signed by laboratory personnel. SHIPMENT (FINAL) INSPECTION Prior to leaving a CAM2 ® facility every product loaded in a shipment vessel must be inspected for quality verification. Quality criteria (vessel sample) • Kinematic viscosity • Foreign contamination (water, etc…) • Vessel top & bottom comparative samples • Certificate of analysis created CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS Certificates of Analysis are produced, reviewed and signed by CAM2 ® laboratory personnel within a specially designed database system.
