Voices raised in song A Rockland duo is leading this year’s Yuletide performance of the Capital City Chorus. Denis Laflamme is serving as musical director for the popular choral group while Bill Hawken is the current president for the non-profit cultural entity. Both of them invite their fellow Rocklanders and everyone else to the Capital City Chorus’A Cappella Christmas Con- cert over the Dec. 13 weekend. The concert features “barbershop quartet-style” singing sans musical accompaniment with a selection of favourite Christmas carols and other seasonal pieces. This year’s concert also features women’s barbershop quartets from around the Ottawa-Orléans area. The weekend concert includes two performances, Dec. 13 and 14, at 7:30 p.m., at the Dominion-Chalmers United Church. For ticket information phone 723-7464 or email tick- ets@capitalcitychorus.org.
