It is an honor that our female sale has been so well received and continues for its fourth year. Our philosophy remains that we are only going to sell the very best and sale-barn the rest. The females featured in this catalog are the top of what we have to offer. These females represent our cow herd. Many are full siblings and matings to females we’ll be calving out ourselves this spring. We refuse to offer cattle we no longer see a future for; instead, we’ve selected individuals with a variety of calving dates, breedings, and age classes. In addition, we’ll be offering pregnant embryo recipient cows and frozen embryo packages of matings we are excited about. Our embryo transfer program continues to grow. We are continually prospecting our most promising young females to keep our genetics fresh. However, there are only so many flushes in a season, so again, we have an offering of select Donor cows that are perfect to grow and advance your operation. On the sire side, we have continued to make a concerted effort to buy the best outside genetics that both strengthen our herd genetics and make a better calf than last year. To broaden our genetic base this year, we purchased both STRA Foreman 5053 and RIDGE John Henry—both Ranch Hand 2010 sons whose calves we’re excited to see.
