NOVEMBER 2019

IT’S ABOUT SERVICE GIVING BACK IN THE SEASON OF GIVING

With Thanksgiving coming up, we should all recognize the things we have to be grateful for and the opportunities we have to give back. Our team will be participating in Rake Up Nampa again this year. Nampa has been really good to us for the past 14 years. We want to help sustain the town and make it a better place to live. With the Rake Up events, we lend a hand to folks who may not be able to clean up all their leaves by themselves. Not everyone is as fortunate as we are, so it’s our duty to look out for them and serve them with the abilities we’ve been given.

Speaking of duty, we want to take a moment to recognize all those who’ve served in honor of Veterans Day. Two of our team members, Dan Crowley and Mike Patton, served in the military, and we are grateful to have them on our team. They bring their talent and exceptional work ethic to everything they do at Altitude PT. To all of our veterans, thank you for your service. A desire to give back and serve people is something that drew me to this profession. When people come in hurting and unable to do something, we get them back to wherever they want and need to be. The payoff for us is hearing how someone can lift up their grandkids again, how they played a round of golf with no hip pain, or how they were able to shoot hoops with their kids for the first time in years. We give people the ability to move and enjoy the life they used to, and I find a lot of purpose in this work.

you for some of the wet and slippery weather that fall and winter bring. On Nov. 16, we have a free Balance and Fall Workshop, and on Nov. 19, we are doing a free Knee Workshop. If anything is bothering you, come in and get it checked out before the snow falls. If you’re feeling unstable, our excellent methods in physical therapy can help you improve your balance. Well, I better start thinking about my own holiday plans. I usually do most of the cooking, and I really enjoy it. I make all the traditional foods: turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. We may be headed to St. George this year to spend the holiday with family. With any luck, I’ll hopefully be golfing on Black Friday instead of shopping. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family, and know that we’ll be here for you through the holiday season. –Sean Weatherston
