Karter Grey Hopkins August 24, 1995-January 8, 2017 In Remembrance of...
There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about & so miss my beautiful son, Karter! From the time he was little he had such a tender heart and an old soul. He always wanted to make people smile, laugh, be happy & he also put others first. This didn’t always work so well as I discovered when he was able to drive…he would often be late for school or work because he was too busy taking his friends where they needed to be! Karter had a contagious smile and also such a funny, funny side coming up with some crazy things that always cracked us up! In his youth he played baseball, football & lacrosse. He always gave his all, but winning or losing didn’t really matter to Karter. What mattered to him were his teammates & often the opponents. It wasn’t unusual during baseball games when he was covering a base that he would strike up a friendly conversation with the opponent he was covering. Karter also loved snowboarding, art, children & his dog Charli. He talked about becoming an elementary teacher & I have no doubt he would have been great! Karter was at the beginning of a new, positive chapter in his life when he was taken from us. We talk about & remember him all the time
with tears and also with smiles & laughter!
I love and miss every single thing about Karter-his smile, his eyes, his great hugs, his humor, his smell, his sweet & caring side, his sassy & stubborn side, his intense love & respect for his sister, his love for all of his friends & family, his future & what that would look like…I love you infinity and beyond, always and forever my Karter Grey!
Until I See You Again- Love, Mom xoxoxo
