friends here. As he was about to leave them , they w ith th e ir wives and chil dren, came w ith him down to th e shore; and then, children, something very sweet and beautiful happened rig h t th e re on th e beach. They all kneeled down together and prayed. I can ju st sh u t my eyes and see them in my mind, kneeling th ere on th e sea-shore, P aul th ank ing God for such good friends and asking God to ta k e care of them , and they asking God to do the same for Paul. We know th a t these friends would remember and pray for P aul afte r he was gone, for our memory verse tells us th a t a friend loveth a t all times. P au l’s friends showed th e ir love all along the way by th e ir kind deeds and praying w ith him. They showed th e ir love by being loyal to him. BLACKBOARD SKETCHES By E ra H ansell Oct. 23, 1921. Paul’s L ast Journey to Jerusalem. Act. 21:3-17. The best way this lesson can be.taught with the blackboard is to DRAW, the map of Paul’s journey. F irst DRAW the ancient ship, indicating by this th a t it is a sea voyage, then DRAW the map. Then as Paul touches these various cities explain what happened. Indicate the travel by drawing the dotted line from one place to another.

he was going away and th a t he would no t see them any more in th is world, the friends felt so sorry, they p u t th eir arm s about his neck and kissed him, and wept. God had told P aul through H is Holy Spirit th a t he would be p u t in prison and suffer in some of th e other places, b u t P au l said th is did not make him afraid, and th a t he would he glad to die if he could finish th e work which God had given him to do. Then Paul spoke some very solemn words. Listen! “ I w ant you to know th a t if any of you be lost a t th e Judgm ent day, th e fau lt will not be m ine; for I have warned you and told you how to be saved, as God sent me to tell you.” As P au l said these last words he kneeled down and prayed w ith them. The people a t one place walked w ith P aul down to the ship in which he sailed away. Of course these people felt very sad as they watched the ship pull away from th e shore, and finally go so far out th e people could not see. We do not like to p a rt w ith our friends, bu t all who love Jesus have something th a t makes a happy feeling in our hearts even when we have to say good-bye. We know th a t even though we may never see them again in th is world, we are going to see them in heaven w ith Jesus, and then we will never have to p a rt or say good-bye any more. At ano ther place th e ship stopped for a number of days to unload some goods. P au l had another lovely visit w ith some
