Course outline
This course will look at some of the ways you can use different guitar techniques and theory to better accompany yourself as a singer-songwriter and keep your arrangements diverse and interesting. We’ll be visiting a variety of examples from other songwriters, from Doc Watson to Nick Lowe, to get an idea of different approaches that might be available to you; anything from solo fingerpicked arrangements to more basic strumming patterns. It will also explore some of the theory behind different chord progressions and look at ways we can add a bit of interest to our arrangements with even some very small adjustments.
