HIGHLANDS, SCOTLAND One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, Glen Ord is steeped in history. Founded on the Black Isle in the Scottish Highlands, it sits on a stretch of land that had been in the posses- sion of Clan Mackenzie for nearly 700 years, when Thomas Mackenzie built the distillery in 1838. It is from this famous Scottish clan that the distillery adopts its motto, Luceo non uro, meaning “I shine not burn” we continue to be inspired by this today, with our emphasis on slow batched distillation. The Singleton Of Glen Ord 釀酒廠是蘇格蘭歷史最悠久的釀酒廠之一，建立在蘇格蘭高地的 黑島之上，座落於Clan Mackenzie擁有近700年歷史的土地之上。此一酒廠由Thomas Macken- zie於1838年建造，承襲其座右銘「Luceo non uro」，意謂「我發光，但不燃燒。」，今天酒廠繼續 受其啟發，以慢蒸餾方法創造威士忌。
