Founded in 2019 by industry veteran Derek Robbins, this Southeast-based construction firm is transforming the way clients experience building projects, one relationship at a time. A Dream Realized With 35 years of experience under his belt, Derek Robbins took a leap of faith when he founded Robbins Construction. "It's always been a dream and passion of mine to own and operate my own business," Derek reflects. Being in Charleston at the right market at the right time, he felt it was either "go ahead and do it or regret it forever." So, in 2018, he began planning, and by 2019, Robbins Construction was born. From the outset, Derek knew exactly where his expertise lay. "Initially, the type of projects that we wanted to track was large industrial warehouse manufacturing facilities," he explains. His extensive experience, particularly in design-build projects, provided a solid foundation. "I just had a lot of experience, especially on the design- build aspect of it.
