Participate in one of the six audition options for the Abbey Theater’s summer 2025 production of Newsies JR. Participants learn a song from the show, read/perform excerpts from the script and learn a dance routine. Casting offers are sent no later than March 16. Performers must be available to rehearse 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 15-July 16. Performers must be available for all performances July 17-19. Participants attend one of six audition times to participate in the Abbey Theater of Dublin’s 2026 productions of “1776” and “35mm.” Auditionees must prepare two 16-32 bar musical theatre excerpts. Casting offers are sent no later than Jan. 30.
Auditions: Summer 2026 Pre-Professional

Participants attend one of six audition times to participate in the Abbey Theater of Dublin’s Summer 2026 Pre-Professional production of “The Lightning Thief!” Pre-professionals must prepare two 16-32 bar excerpts from the show. Excerpts are made available after registration. Casting offers are sent no later than March 23.
Performers in 1776 must be available to rehearse 6:30-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, May 4-28. Performers must be available for all performances May 29-31 and June 5-7. Performers in 35mm must be available to rehearse 6:30-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 8-July 9. Performers
Please note that if you are selected to perform in the Pre-Professional Production, you will be required to pay a registration fee. The Dublin resident fee is $280 and the non-resident fee is $308. Performers must be available to rehearse 6:30-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 13-Aug. 6. Performers must be available for all performances Aug. 7-16.
