Sound Meditation Vandana Rajagopal
ESPORTS & STEM
What is Sound Meditation? Sound Meditation uses soothing, harmonic sounds from instruments like singing bowls, gongs and chimes to guide you into a deep state of relaxation. It is an incredibly powerful way to reduce stress, calm the mind and promote overall well-being. The vibrations from the sounds help to relax the nervous system, easing tension and stress. The meditative state achieved can improve mental clarity and concentration. It’s a wonderful way to unwind, allowing your mind and body to rest deeply. The sound waves work on a vibrational level to align and balance your body’s energy. To make yourself comfortable, feel free to bring along a mat, blanket or any props that will help you settle in. You can choose to sit or lie down – whatever feels best for you. If you prefer a chair due to any physical needs, one can be provided for you. The City of Dublin can help! We offer small group programs led by our Nature Education Coordinator, Barbara Ray, designed specifically to meet badge requirements. We work with your group to design a customized program focused on ecology, conservation, wildlife stewardship and supporting related badgework. Our city parks are our preferred classrooms, providing the ideal setting for nature-based learning, but we can tailor programs to fit your group’s schedule and needs. To provide the best experience possible, we ask scout leaders to contact us at least one month in advance to allow adequate time for our team to coordinate the logistics of the program. For more information on available topics and opportunities, visit: DublinOhioUSA.gov/recreation-services/parks/nature-education To schedule your scout program, contact: Rachel Keitz Recreation Coordinator rkeitz@dublin.oh.us We’ll take care of the details and schedule our Nature Education Coordinator, Barbara Ray, to guide your troop through a fun and educational experience. Group flat rate: $50 (10 or fewer scouts) $75 (11 or more scouts)
