NOTES FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION Swim lesson registration is first-come, first-served using online registration on the dates and times listed. Online registration offers participants fast and convenient results. 1. You may need to reference the class schedule when enrolling online to have the correct program number. 2. New customers can create an account online; however, all accounts created online are set to non-resident status. Any Dublin or school district resident needs to submit proof of residency online or come to the DCRC and verify residency to register online at the time designated for Dublin or school district residents. Staff review all online requests within 1-3 business days. 3. Incorrect household information may cause registration difficulties. If you experience errors due to incorrect ages of your child or other household information, call 614.410.4550 to update your household information, and then try again. 4. To check your enrollment status, log in and go to My Account, then My History under History and Balances. PREPAYMENT POLICY Payment is due upon registration. You must use a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or AMEX when registering online. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY Please check the dates of the swim lesson session closely as refunds are not issued once the session is in progress. Exceptions may be given for medical reasons with a physician’s note or approval from the Aquatics Supervisor. Full refunds are granted, minus a $15 administrative fee, if requests are made prior to the start of the first class. MAKEUP POLICY No makeup classes are offered for lessons missed by participants. Lessons canceled due to weather or mechanical issues are made up at a later date at the same time. If the pool schedule does not permit, a refund is issued. All participants receive an email to the email address provided during registration and are notified of the make-up date. No individual accommodations are made if participants cannot attend the make-up class provided.
SWIM ASSESSMENTS/TRANSFERRING LEVELS Do you need help determining the correct level to enroll yourself or your child? Try our online assessment tool at DublinOhioUSA. gov/recreation-services/aquatics/lessons or schedule an in-water assessment with our Aquatics Coordinator at 614.410.4597. Upon the first class, instructors confirm that participants are in the proper level. Should the participant not meet the level prerequisites, Aquatic staff reserve the right to transfer the participant to the correct level. Availability in another level within the current session is not guaranteed. A partial refund is issued if other sections are unavailable. Enrollments cannot be transferred to future swim lesson sessions. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY During inclement weather, the DCRC facilities maintain regular operating hours unless directed otherwise by the City Manager. In general, DCRC class/activity schedules coincide with Dublin City Schools. Whenever schools are released early for inclement weather, all evening classes at the DCRC are cancelled. When school is cancelled, all daytime DCRC classes are cancelled, and a decision regarding evening classes (those after 4 p.m.) is made by 2 p.m. Please call the weather hotline at 614.410.4946, to find out about weekend or evening classes. All attempts are made to make up missed classes. WAITLIST All efforts are made to enroll students off the waitlist if availability exists. The Aquatic Programming Coordinator contacts participants via email during the first week of the session. No proration is provided after the start of the class. LOW ENROLLMENT We reserve the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. All efforts are made to transfer the student into another class within the same session. However, if no availability exists, a full refund is issued. OBSERVING LESSONS In order to provide the best learning environment, we suggest that family members observe swim lessons from the observation deck located off the upper-level track. This allows for less distractions for students and provides a more comfortable environment for spectators. If you find your child continually trying to interact with you during their class, we encourage you to move out of the immediate area so that their attention remains focused on their instructor.
