Healthy: Winter/Spring 2026

ART BRINGS JOY AND WELL-BEING

Art plays an essential role in our well-being. It brings people together, encourages curiosity and offers a moment to slow down and find joy in everyday life. This winter and spring, Dublin Arts Council invites you to explore the arts:

Discover Dublin’s Art in Public Places Collection

Be Inspired by ARTboxes

Public art transforms ordinary spaces into opportunities for reflection, inspiration and conversation. Explore Dublin Arts Council’s Art in Public Places collection located in Dublin’s scenic parks. Use QR codes to hear directly from the artists and learn about the creative process, materials and ideas behind each art installation. Pick up a handheld map of the permanent Art in Public Places collection at the Dublin Visitors Center or Dublin Arts Council and get out in nature.

ARTboxes resemble “little libraries” designed to engage all ages in hands-on art explorations. Each box contains seasonal art explorations including art supplies, book suggestions and inspiration. The explorations are open-ended and encourage creative thinking around themes such as nature to science, and everything in between. There are eight boxes spread throughout Dublin, check out DublinArts.org for locations.

Celebrate Emerging Artists in “In the Making”

Every year, artwork from artists grades K-12 fills the galleries of Dublin Arts Council in an exhibition celebrating the next generation of artists. This year, the vibrant exhibition is back under a new name: “In the Making.” The exhibition will be on view Jan. 10 through Feb. 27. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. For more ways to engage with art visit DublinArts.org.
