Identity Integration Matrix
This framework helps individuals explicitly connect personal purpose to organizational mission:
1. Map identity elements across four quadrants :
○ Personal Values: Core principles that guide individual decisions ○ Organizational Values: Foundational principles of the organization ○ Personal Aspirations: Individual growth and impact goals ○ Organizational Purpose: The organization’s reason for existing 2. Identify connection points : Find explicit linkages where: ○ Personal and organizational values naturally align ○ Individual aspirations contribute to organizational purpose ○ Organizational mission enables personal growth 3. Design integration approaches : Develop specific strategies to strengthen connections: ○ Role crafting to better align work with personal values ○ Project selection that serves both individual and collec- tive goals ○ Development pathways that build both personal and or- ganizational capability 4. Create reflection rituals : Establish regular practices to revisit and refresh connections: ○ Quarterly purpose alignment conversations ○ Annual identity integration reviews ○ Transition point reassessments
