2. Prepare for Service: Ensure all required tools, materials, and replacement parts are available and organized. 3. Disassemble Rear End Cap: Using a 5mm hex key, remove the rear end cap from the tool body. 4. Loosen Adjustment Lock Screw (if applicable): For all models except the FG adjustment lock screw by ½ turn using a 2mm hex key. 5. Set Torque to Minimum: counterclockwise (CCW) to set the tool to its minimum torque setting. 1.0 Screwdriver Disassembly, Cleaning and Inspection

Secure the Tool: Insert screwdriver into the tool holder cup adapter; clamp the adapter securely in a vise.

Remove FG Screwdriver Top Cap: To remove the FG screwdriver top cap, use the 076802 FG Screwdriver Cap Removal Tool and turn counterclockwise to loosen the cap. When using the Rigid FG Cap Removal Tool, apply steady and controlled force to avoid slipping and damaging the cap. Maintain downward pressure on the removal tool to keep it securely engaged with the FG top cap and prevent tool slippage that could cause damage. nd damaging
