The post holder is therefore required to apply analytical, interpretive and constructive thinking and a high degree of evaluative judgement to resolve many problems/issues presented to them. • The post holder will be required to develop processes and systems to improve use and provide solutions to resolve competing space needs. They will need to have strong communication and negotiation/influencing skills to get the best use of the space available. • The post holder will calculate the density of people or items, e.g. students/m2, computers/m2, teaching space/m2. Minor miscalculations around size could either cost the University more money than necessary, or could result in insufficient space to teach the curriculum. They will work closely with departments on the development of curricula and advise on the implications for space.
