AXOR Brand

AXOR SUSTAINABILITY

AXOR defines sustainability as the respectful treatment of people and resources. Sustainability is a central issue that includes multiple areas: ecological, economic and social. Bathrooms designed to provide comfort for 20 years or more place high demands on sustainability: durable materials, design that surpasses fashion trends, and a high degree of quality and technical innovation. AXOR is part of the Hansgrohe Group, which is deeply rooted in sustainability, both in mindset and in action. Klaus Grohe, the son of founder Hans Grohe, embraced sustainability as a philosophy for Hansgrohe beginning in the 1980s. Klaus Grohe stated in 1990: "Climate change is not a distant future, it is the reality. The whole of society must contribute to reducing CO2 emissions. We are setting the course today for the day after tomorrow." The company continues to grow using this mindset.

Production & Sourcing Protecting and preserving the environment is vital, which is why AXOR strives to produce in a resource-friendly way. All AXOR products are developed exclusively in Europe– 90% of which are produced at the AXOR Centre for Excellence in the Black Forest, Germany. AXOR maintains long-standing relationships with specific suppliers and prioritizes sustainability. Sustainability goes beyond local suppliers and their approach, processes and ecological footprint. It also includes the social conditions throughout the production process. Beyond this, the company has developed specific eco-design guidelines. These guidelines will be used to design the entire product range with sustainability in mind.
