Only 15 percent of the respondents are a seller of their business and of those nearly 70 percent have put that pro- cess on hold with nearly 60 percent stating both lower valuation, and they do not know what EBITDA or monthly recurring revenue is being sold as the basis. Conversely, 44 percent of buyers are delaying purchases with two-thirds unsure of what they are buying at this time. Just more than 60 percent of respondents had less report- able incidents in the time period measured.The risk data is counter to early indications in March of increased accident frequency. $4M C&D Recycling Center Proposed In Michigan Mulder’s Landscape Supplies Inc. andWaste Not Recycling LLC, both headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, have pro- posed plans for a construction and demolition (C&D) re- cycling facility and transfer station in Kalamazoo Township, Michigan. According to MLive, the $4 million, 20,000-square-foot fa- cility would reside on five acres and employ 20 full-time workers.All recycling operations would be housed indoors. If approved, construction could begin on the project later this year or in early 2021, with estimated completion later next year. Advanced Recycling Alliance For Plastics Launched The American Chemistry Council’s Chemical Recycling Alliance has changed its name to theAdvanced RecyclingAl- liance for Plastics (ARAP) to reflect its growing membership and variety of members’ advanced recycling technologies. ARAP also announced three new members: GreenMantra Technologies, Chevron Phillips Chemical and Ravago Re- cycling Group.ARAP is at the forefront in representing the rapidly growing advanced recycling and recovery sector for plastics. Tissue Production Reaches Record-High Levels The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA),Wash- ington, reports that the U.S. tissue and wood products indus- try set record-high levels of tissue production in February and March. According to AF&PA, U.S. tissue mills manufactured about 700,000 tons of tissue in March. Heidi Brock, President and CEO of AF&PA, said more tissue was produced in March than any other month since 2007, which is when AF&PA began collecting this historical data. Additionally, AF&PA states that its members safely deliv- ered more than 22,000 tons of tissue per day in February and March. Brock said record-high levels of tissue production are tied to demand from the COVID-19 pandemic.
