We need to be continually examining global trends and emerging issues that could lead to new technologies, social and cultural innovations. We then must go deeper and explore second and third order (unintended) consequences of current and innovative policies, actions and behaviours. To keep our idea of the future plural, we need to keep developing scenarios for the futures of innovations Malaysia. Futures and Foresight as well as data analytics needs to be inbuilt into our institutions to prepare them for advanced social and technological transformations.
