TRIPARTITE EXCHANGE BETWEEN MIGHT, SARAWAK DIGITAL ECONOMY CORPORATION (SDEC) & MALAYSIA SMART CITIES ALLIANCE ASSOCIATION (MSCA) IN CONJUNCTION WITH WORLD CONGRESS ON INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY (WCIT 2023) 4-6 OCTOBER Sarawak
The 27 th WCIT2023 and 6 th IDECS2023 united leaders and experts around the theme “Realising the Potential of the Digital Era: Advancing Economic Prosperity, Social Inclusivity, and Environmental Sustainability through Innovation and Technology.” The event was inaugurated by The Premier of Sarawak, The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Johari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg. MIGHT served as the Strategic Partner for WCIT2023 & IDECS2023, showcasing esteemed members and partners like SCS Consultancy Services, Free the Seed, Datasonic, Kiwitech, Cyberview, and UTHM S&T initiatives at the Pavilion. Additionally, MIGHT co-organised the Future City Track during the October 4 th -6 th conference sessions. During the launch, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Exchange took place between Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), MIGHT, and Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA), with the participation of SDEC’s CEO, Sudarnoto Osman; MIGHT’s Joint Chairman, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Zakri Abdul Hamid, FASc, and MSCA’s Chairman, Ts Dr Raslan Ahmad, FASc . The Premier of Sarawak witnessed this momentous occasion. This MoU Exchange symbolises a significant stride towards leveraging digital innovation and technology to advance economic growth, social inclusivity, and environmental sustainability in Sarawak. The collaboration aims to drive Industry 4.0, Smart Cities, and the Digital Economy by promoting knowledge sharing, enhancing capabilities, and facilitating market access across various sectors like transportation, waste management, energy, and more.
