MIGHT moderated a panel session on fostering smart, green cities for sustainable and inclusive growth at the Smart Cities Asia Meet-up 2023, organised by MDEC. Ts Anusha Magendram from MIGHT led discussions among panellists Dr S Sri Umeswara, Circular Economy, waste, and environmental management expert from FIG Metal Industries Sdn. Bhd., Edison Choong, Deputy Director of Sustainability, Taskforce/ Export Promotion, and Market Access Division from Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Dr Gary William Theseira, Director and Council member of Climate Governance Malaysia focusing on integrating smart city initiatives with environmental sustainability efforts. The session delved into the intersection of smart city development and environmental sustainability, highlighting strategies and initiatives to promote green and sustainable growth.
