“MIGHT023, you are cleared to land, runaway 3, number 3.” MIGHT, led by its Joint Chairman (Industry), Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ir Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, undertook an industry working visit to the newly established Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre (KLATCC) in Sepang. This visit was organised as a follow-up to our earlier visit to Advanced Air Traffic Systems (M) Sdn Bhd. Exploring the control centre and receiving a comprehensive overview of air traffic control and search and rescue (SAR) procedures conducted at the Rescue Coordination Centre proved extraordinary. Partnering with the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), AAT Engineers and Technologists (a MIGHT member) deliver 99.95% system operational availability (SOA) in full compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) operational performance standards. They ensure efficiency and safety with zero tolerance for errors, hence promoting public trust in air transportation by controlling the air space. Thank you, Mr Zainul Abidin Maslan, Deputy CEO (Operations) #CAAM and team, for your kind hospitality.
