STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT FOR SHARING ECONOMY JANUARY-FEBRUARY Kelantan

The study underwent a comprehensive exploration of Malaysia’s sharing economy stakeholders’ landscape through a series of one-to-one engagements conducted from January to February 2023. Meticulously investigating the intricacies of the sharing economy landscape in Malaysia, the study employed a series of in-person discussions and meetings. This conventional format was pivotal in accommodating the current involvement of entities facing challenges. Each engagement was strategically crafted to involve specific stakeholders, including Platform Operators, Platform Providers, and Government Agencies and Ministries. The overarching objective remained steadfast: to substantiate data findings related to readiness indicators and evaluate the economic impact of the sharing economy in Malaysia. Employing the F.I.R.S.T methodologies, the study concentrated on Financial, Infrastructure, Regulation, Skills, and Talent aspects while incorporating scenario planning. As the study progressed, these one-to-one meetings laid a solid foundation for ongoing engagement, iterative refinement of methodologies, and a deeper dive into the challenges and opportunities shaping the sharing economy landscape in Malaysia.
