WORKSHOP SESSION FOR THE STANDARD DEVELOPMENT OF CARBON CAPTURE STORAGE & UTILISATION (CCUS)
MIGHT received an invitation from the US Embassy and Department of Standards Malaysia (JSM) to participate in the standard development workshop for Carbon Capture, Storage & Utilisation (CCUS). The workshop included domain experts from Department of Standards Malaysia (JSM), PETRONAS, Energy Commision, Ministry of Economy, and Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (NRECC). This session, organised by the Commercial Law Development Programme Office of the General Counsel and the US Embassy in Malaysia, aimed to share best practices in managing carbon in accordance with ISO/TC 265 standards. The US Ambassador to Malaysia, Mr Brian D. McFeeters, welcomed contributions and input from stakeholders, both direct and indirect, to complement the development efforts for the business footprint of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM).

MIGHT representative Ts Mohamad Azreen Firdaus Abd Aziz was nominated by MOSTI to participate in the “Paving The Way for Green Hydrogen in Advancing Circular Economy” seminar. The event, organised by the Institute of Sustainable Building at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) - APEC, gathered key representatives from various APEC member countries, including Malaysia, Vietnam, Peru, the Philippines, China, and Russia. The seminar focused on sharing strategies, best practices, advocacy through strategic communication, and capacity building in the green hydrogen industry - discussions aimed to emphasise the importance of hydrogen consumption throughout the APEC region.
