Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Zakri Abdul Hamid, FASc the Joint-Chairman (Government) of MIGHT, was the Guest of Honour at the National Academy of Sciences Sri Lanka’s workshop titled ‘Institutionalising Science Advice to Governments’. Drawing upon his vast experience in national and international science advisory, Tan Sri Zakri emphasised the role of Science Advisory in shaping decision-making processes based on scientific evidence and knowledge. It underscores the importance of bridging the gap between science, policy, and society as the collective capacity of scientific understanding in offering viable solutions to various challenges confronting modern society.
