SUSTAINABLE CITIES TRADE MISSION TO MALAYSIA 7 FEBRUARY Sunway Innovation Labs (iLabs)
The collaboration between MIGHT, Cyberview Sdn Bhd, and the British High Commission (BHC) culminated in a Sustainable Cities Mission to Malaysia. This mission aimed to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange on sustainable urban development between the UK and Malaysia. The programme, held at Sunway iLabs, focused on various aspects of sustainable cities, including development planning, investment opportunities, digital blueprints, digital cities, and smart city initiatives with a net-zero focus. Key stakeholders such as the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), the Economic Planning Unit of Melaka State, the Ipoh City Council, and the Sunway Group, along with UK delegates, delivered presentations during the programme. Roundtable sessions between UK and Malaysia delegates concentrated on Infrastructure Innovations and Digital/Smart Cities, indicating a collaborative effort to address challenges and explore opportunities in these areas. The continuation of the programme, hosted by Cyberview Sdn Bhd at Rekascape, Cyberview, further facilitated discussions and activities to explore and promote sustainable initiatives between the UK and Malaysia. These initiatives play a crucial role in fostering international cooperation, sharing best practices, and contributing to the global effort towards sustainable and resilient urban development.
