SMART GRID REPLICATION AND SCALE-UP PLAN WORKSHOP​ 16 MARCH MIGHT Partnership Hub, Cyberjaya
As Malaysia progresses towards reducing carbon emissions, the Smart Grid plays a vital role and enabler for efficient energy management. In collaboration with UNITEN as the Project Delivery Partner (PDP) for the GEF6 Smart Grid Project, MIGHT organised a workshop in Malaysia focusing on Smart Grid Replication & Scale-up Development. The workshop gathered around 51 important stakeholders and experts from various federal and state agencies, including representatives from Melaka, Pulau Pinang, Selangor, Kelantan, and Sabah. During the workshop, the primary emphasis was on identifying essential factors and criteria for cities to replicate the Smart Grid project in Malaysia. Participants actively shared and discussed technical and non-technical aspects of replicability and scalability, incorporating viewpoints from Renewable Energy, Advanced Metering Infrastructures (AMI), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, and green mobility.
