COLDGROW TM ENERGY SYSTEM (POC) LAUNCHED BY MINISTER OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION 13 APRIL MIGHT Partnership Hub, Cyberjaya
The Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), YB Chang Lih Kang, launched the COLDGROW™ CGR energy system at the MIGHT Partnership Hub. This innovative cooling technology, fueled by liquified natural gas (LNG), was a collaborative effort between MIGHT and Wasave Sdn Bhd. The system is designed to deliver a consistent 150RT cooling capacity while reducing carbon emissions by up to 75%. The regasification and cold recovery process will fulfil the chilled water required to meet MIGHT’s cooling needs at a lower energy cost. This endeavour is vital in advancing energy efficiency technology, promoting modular energy concepts, exploring alternative energy sources, and expanding LNG options for current and future renewable energy consumers. The successful collaboration underscores the significance of a supportive environment for translating cutting-edge technology into viable commercial solutions.
