In her fourth month, she reached Senior Director 2, and by the end of that year, she was able to move from her parents’ home into her own home. “Today, my why is to help regular people like me find financial peace and just have options for my family,” Shontay says. “It’s very rewarding to have a business like Melaleuca and to be able to help my family.” As she reflects on her Melaleuca journey, Shontay is extremely grateful for the way her life has changed and for how much this company means to her. “Melaleuca means relief, peace, and security,” she says. “It means a legacy for my daughter. When Shontay Salter discovered Melaleuca, she was a full-time entrepreneur struggling to stay afloat with her business. As a single mom, she was in desperate need of a way to provide for her daughter. Her search finally led her to Melaleuca through National Director 7 Rebecca Garrett, who took Shontay by the hand from the very beginning. “When I first started with Melaleuca in April 2018, I cried my whole first month,” Shontay recalls. “I was scared. I was trying to build something new, and I knew I had to let go of my other business. My main source of income was crumbling, and I was about to lose everything.” Despite her initial self-doubt, Shontay put in work and advanced to Director in her first month. Especially during those first steps, her enroller’s trust and support made all the difference for her. “Rebecca was the biggest gift I could have received when I first started with Melaleuca,” Shontay says. “I would not be where I am now if she didn’t believe in me.
