COPC Handbook April 2026 Q2

3.7

Employment Transfer COPC’s positions require training and on-the-job work experience before an employee is operating at full capacity. Therefore, all employees must complete a minimum of six (6) months in their current position, whether newly hired, transferred, or promoted, before they become eligible to apply for a different position. An employee must not be under any form of discipline to be eligible to request a transfer. Eligibility requirements may be waived by COPC in those instances where the transfer would be in the best interest of the Company and exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by Human Resources. Employees who accept a transfer offer and rescind that decision, are not guaranteed their current position nor a future position within the company. In addition, that employee may not be eligible to transfer for a period of six (6) months following the original acceptance of the transfer offer, at the discretion of their Direct Supervisor and Human Resources.

All benefits will remain in force and will follow the employee based on Full-time/Part-time status of the new position and the new location will be responsible to pay for all future benefits including accrued PTO. Lateral transfers (moving into the same or similar position, not a promotion or demotion), will retain their current rate of pay for a minimum of 60 days after their employment in the new position begins. Both parties may agree to a lower rate, but an increased rate cannot be offered at the time of transfer. Additionally, current site cannot increase employee’s rate of pay after accepting transfer in order to retain employee from internal opportunity. After this time, pay may be evaluated at the discretion of the new site/department. Hours may change due to the position and location. Employees can find more information in the full Transfer policy found here.
