Pack Print International Returns To Thailand After being postponed due the pandemic, Pack Print International — International Packaging and Printing Exhibition for Asia — will return for its 8th edition, October 19-22, 2022, at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. CorruTec ASIA, the new event for corrugated packaging, will be held concurrently. Thailand con- tinues to be the region’s hub for the packaging and printing sectors and the co-location of the two events will offer synergies for all participants and bring together Thailand’s packaging, printing and corrugated packaging industries. Pack Print International is jointly organized by The Thai Packaging Association, The Thai Print- ing Association and Messe Düsseldorf Asia (MDA), while CorruTec Asia is co-organized by MDA and the Thai Corrugated Packaging Association. More than 12,5000 trade visitors, including some 30 percent from outside Thailand and some 250 in- ternational exhibitors are expected at PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL and CorruTec Asia. Attendees will come mainly from the printing and packaging industries as well as vertical markets such as con- sumer products, cosmetics, luxury goods, medical, banking and security technology. Global Food Packaging Market Grows The global food packaging market reached a val- ue $345.3 billion in 2021, according to a new re- port issued by ResearchAndMarkets.com. Looking forward, the publisher expects the market to reach $483.4 billion by 2027, exhibiting a Compound An- nual Growth Rate of 5.85 percent during 2022-2027. Box Market Gets Boost From E-Commerce A new Freedonia Group analysis projects demand for corrugated and paperboard boxes in the United States to increase 2.0 percent yearly from a high 2021 base to $49.9 billion, with volume demand reaching 31.9 million tons. Although this market is mature, the analysis finds that there are notable growth opportunities in non- manufacturing applications such as e-commerce, foodservice, and delivery. In addition, suppliers will continue to introduce higher value boxes to the market in order to meet the sustainability and efficiency needs of their customers.
