Together they went to her hair appointments, doctor appointments, completed shopping trips and went out to eat. Dolores moved to an assisted living facility in 2022. Thelen continues to visit with her and help her get around town as she needs. Steak nights are a favorite between the two. “I’ve made awesome connections with my neighbors and Dolores,” said Thelen. “I like to be known as a guy who will show up and who you can count on.
