Franklin Building Supply - June 2023

WOW Sue Mowers To Darin Neal & Nate Lish, Pocatello Two of our amazing yard crew came to the assistance of an elderly customer on oxygen. It was a cold day in Pocatello and our customer’s car would not start. Darin Neal and Rowdy (Nate Lish) jumped her car with the forklift while she sat in the warm building. She was still apologizing for being a bother as Nate helped her into the car. Thanks Nate and Darin for showing how we take care of each other at Franklin. As a bonus, she thought you two were handsome men! I am one lucky person to get to work with the guys in our Pocatello yard crew. GUIDE From Eric Heiden to Casey Hazelbush, Burley BisTrack had a hiccup at just the wrong time and messed up an exchange order I had just created for the customer. I was drawing a blank on how to fix it, but Casey came up with a way to fix it, and it worked! EASY From Jordan Paeth to Brittney Bourget and Nathan Hebert, Design Innovations Wanted to give a shoutout to these two. We received a phone call from a contractor that a countertop did not go on as scheduled THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT A New Truss Plant Is a Big Step Building a new truss manufacturing facility is a significant achievement, and I am proud of the progress we have made over the past five years while I have been the general manager of this team. We have overcome numerous hurdles, and it is exciting to see the company invest in our growth. The new Caldwell Truss Plant is not only state of the art, but it will also be able to service the growth of Southwestern Idaho for decades to come. Over the last few years, we have faced many challenges, including economic downturns, unprecedented demand, and supply chain disruptions. However, we have persevered and remained committed to our goal of providing a high-quality product to Franklin’s customers at a great value. With the new facility, we are confident that we can achieve this goal, meet the needs of our existing customers, and add new customers. HIGH FIVES!

and was putting him behind. It turned out the material was back- ordered and overlooked at follow-up. Nate quickly went into action and discovered the material was still out of stock. He sourced a similar material that was in town, picked it up, and scheduled the installation. Scheduling rejected the timeline, but Nate understood

the urgency. Brittney rearranged her schedule for the afternoon to make sure it happened. Nate and Brittney worked together to meet the customer’s needs. Way to take a bad situation and turn it around so quickly!

STRIVE From Reuben Gutierrez to Ashly Stroh, Boise

I would like to send a High Five out to our receiver, Ashly Stroh. She has one of the most thankless jobs in the building. She

handles all the receiving for the yard and store and also handles all stock transfers in the Treasure Valley. She is always willing to help and resolve issues with a positive attitude. She is an example of the employee we should all strive to be.

SAFE From Kris Hudson to Tony Williams, Pocatello

Tony is always looking out for the safety and well-being of others. He always comes up with a solution that makes all parties involved happy while still keeping everyone safe.

will enable us to produce high-quality trusses quickly and efficiently, reducing lead times and improving customer satisfaction. One of the most exciting aspects of the new facility is its capacity. We will be able to double the output of our current facility within a few months of being in the new plant, allowing us to take on more projects and expand our reach. This increased capacity will also allow us to be more competitive in the market and reduce our lead times, which will help us grow market share. I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of the Boise Truss employee owners over the past five years. We have grown both wallet and market share and improved efficiency and quality at the same time as we reduced waste and increased safety. I cannot think of a more deserving group of individuals to receive an upgrade and be given the opportunity to take truss manufacturing in southwestern Idaho to the next level.

The Caldwell Truss Plant is equipped with the latest technology, including automated truss tables, a new automated saw, and advanced quality control systems that are entirely digital. This technology
