• Experienced in undertaking designs, scopes of works and specifications for building services mechanical installations. • Previous experience of plant and equipment, including solutions, regulations, standards and operating environment influence. • Experience using Building Management systems • Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, control applications and BSRIA and CIBSE industry guidelines • Experience of managing projects Education and Knowledge Essential: • Recognised professional qualification in an Engineering or Building Services discipline e.g. BEng Degree or HND (minimum requirement with suitable demonstrable experience). • Working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, Health & Safety and British Standards including Permit to Work Systems. • Previous experience of plant and equipment, including solutions regulations, standards and operating environment influence. Desirable: • Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers Skills & Abilities Essential: • Highly developed knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, Public Health and site-wide energy systems. • Highly developed knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory regulations relating to mechanical plant. • Ability to manage projects and contractors within a complex and difficult organisation. • Highly developed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, and Building and Fire Regulations with the ability to apply it to a working environment. • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach to working. • Ability to apply numerical skills sufficiently to be able to analyse financial data and budgetary information to ensure compliance with financial constraints. • High degree of computer literacy, particularly detailed understanding and demonstrable experience of Microsoft Packages. • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach to working • Ability to apply numerical skills sufficiently to be able to analyse financial data and budgetary information to ensure compliance with financial constraints.
