Member Only Website Information

Recently, I was asked by members about attending a Board of Governors meeting to find out what is being discussed. Traditionally, those meetings are closed and the Board of Governors host an Annual meeting to update the members on the Club. In case you are not aware, all minutes from the Board of Governors meetings are posted on the Member Only Website for your review. In addition, we also post the Club’s monthly Income Statements and Uses of Cash Reports. This information is very informative and will keep you up to date on what the Committees and Board of Governors are working on with the Management team. If you have trouble finding any information on the Member Only Website, please feel free to contact the Receptionist. We are pleased to announce that one of the two new beverage carts has arrived and is in operation. The Club has ordered a 2 nd new beverage cart and we will be using the green beverage cart as the 3 rd beverage cart on the weekends. Once the 2 nd new beverage cart arrives in August, we will be scheduling three beverage carts (one per nine holes during peak hours) and will evaluate the cart schedules daily to ensure that we have ample coverage of the golf courses at all times. We will let everyone one know when the 2 nd new beverage cart arrives. Over the past year, we have seen a large increase in the number of members using the Mixed Grille and a decrease in the number of members using the Oak Room. Based on this trend, it has caused speed of service issues during peak times in the Mixed Grille, especially when 70+ members fill up the Mixed Grille for lunch or dinner (with a kitchen the size of a closet). Our other challenge is the Oak Room, which is underutilized for a variety of reasons for lunch and dinner (with a huge kitchen). Although our member survey results indicate that the food and service in the Oak Room is wonderful, the affordability and ambiance needs to improve. Based on this challenge, the Board of Governors has asked the F&B team and the House & Social Committee to find solutions to increase usage in the Oak Room to attract more members and increase speed of service in the Mixed Grille. We will be looking at menus, variety, hours of operation and service standards for both areas as part of the process.
