SPOTLIGHT ON MICHAEL ROBILLARD Highlighting One of Franklin Building Supply’s Best
For four and a half years, Michael Robillard has been working hard to set Franklin Building Supply apart from the rest. As an account coordinator in the Bellevue, Idaho, location, he works hard to deliver satisfaction each and every day. His teammates love his positivity, and clients are always wowed by his enthusiasm and customer service. Michael’s favorite aspect of his job is the opportunity he is afforded to learn. “Being still green to this industry, I have a lot of knowledge to acquire, and every time I learn something new, I pursue it to the best of my ability,” he explains. “Being in the position that I am in allows me to gain knowledge directly from the salesmen I work with and the contractors that we service.” For Michael, the most challenging part of his career is the art of time management. At times, it can be very demanding to make sure that the needs of the customer are met while managing tasks as efficiently as possible. Lean, a series of five principles designed to improve efficiency in the workplace, includes defining value, mapping the value stream, creating flow, using a pull system, and pursuing perfection. Michael feels that Lean is reflected via the way he organizes, stores, and disperses his data. Having a good system in place allows him to
swiftly recall information for both salesmen and customers. When Michael isn’t at work, you can guarantee he is spending time with his fiancé and their dogs. They enjoy hiking, vacationing, and building their lives together. He is a big advocate for cooking, camping, and building puzzles with his lovely lady.
“I am constantly reading recipes, watching cooking videos, and buying every spice imaginable, even though I already have a heaping cupboard full of spices,” he says.
