Inaugural edition of Hanoi Wood Expo a success Even though it catered to a small market, Hanoi Wood Expo showed how important a trade exhibition specialised in wood and woodworking is for the local factories there.

The inaugural edition of Hanoi Wood Expo concluded on 1 Jun 2024 with over 3,000 visitors across four days at the National Exhibition Construction Centre (NECC). Organised by Pablo Publishing & Exhibition, Hanoi Wood Expo, in conjunction with Hanoi Furniture Fittings & Upholstery, aimed to establish a specialised wood and woodworking exhibition for the
local furniture factories in northern Vietnam, with Hanoi as the central point. Around 150 exhibitors participated, hailing from all parts of the world, including China, Taiwan, Germany, Australia, the US, Singapore, and of course, Vietnam itself, showcasing solutions such as raw materials, semi- and fully-automatic CNC machining centres, digital solutions, and more.
Consensus among the exhibitors were that the traffic of visitors was slow, but this was expected as the furniture industry is smaller in northern Vietnam compared to southern Vietnam. Even so, the visitors that came were the ‘right’ kind of visitors — they came from factories within the area, and they were sincere in their queries for the products and solutions that the exhibitors displayed. There were some international visitors as well, from
