SHOW REVIEW

From my interactions with [other exhibitors and visitors], they feel optimistic about the exhibition. This optimism can be because the economy is recovering, and factories within the area are keen to buy machines. We managed to sell a few as well, machines suited for whole-house furniture customisation. But the visitor flow can be better — maybe because it is the inaugural edition. Peter Liu International Sales Director, Nanxing Machinery

[Hanoi Wood Expo] has got a high number of visitors considering its first edition, even though the traffic does not seem much. Looking at quality over quantity, we got a few good leads that we can follow up. The show is very important for networking, to exchange information and data with each other… [Northern Vietnam] is increasingly more important than before, which is why we are trying to expand into here. Graham Rutter International Business Development, Smart Connected Solutions South East Asia, and Bernd Kahnert, Founder and CEO, GCC Consultancy

It is our first time expanding into Hanoi or northern Vietnam, and the results are good. Many customers came to understand our machines, and we had some good leads and negotiations with them. Liu Kai President, Samach Group

It is the right call to establish [Hanoi Wood Expo]… It is essential to cultivate this market. The visitors who came were quite targeted. Almost all of them who came wanted to network, to increase their

market awareness, and understand the impact [of the show]. The visitor traffic can be improved, however. Xie Zhi Hui Dealer of Guangzhou KDT

This is the inaugural edition, but it has been a good show for us. It has been very fortunate for us: There are not too many timber suppliers up here [in the north], so we got a lot of attention from visitors interested in wood. A few of our customers, even more Ho Chi Minh, came to visit us. In general, we got a lot of leads to work with. Per Friss Knudsen Asia Director, Global Timber
