On Tuesday, November 15, the Southern NJ Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will host a special event at the Adelphia in Deptford. The NOVEMBER CHAP- TER MEETING/NETWORKING SOCIAL features special guest speaker Adam Taliaferro, Assemblyman, Third Legislative District. The event, being held from 4:30-6:00 pm is only $10! “The chapter is offering this special price due to successful educational offerings held throughout the year,” said Chapter President Edward Molirari, SRA, of Molinari & Associates in Woodbury. “This is a great way to give back to our members. You can’t go wrong attending.” The event includes appetizers, open bar, chapter meeting & guest speaker. “There are no continuing education credits for this event,” added Molinari. “It’s simply a great opportunity to socialize, network, and hear from an excellent speaker.” Special door prizes, including Appraisal Institute books, will be given away to those in attendance. Assemblyman Adam J. Taliaferro was sworn into office in January of 2015 and represents the Third Legislative District in Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland counties. The Assemblyman serves as Vice chair of the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee where he has assumed an active role in protecting New Jersey farmers by promoting Jersey Fresh products and growth opportuni- ties for emerging agricultural industries. Taliaferro also serves on the Education Committee where he has engaged in measures to expand quality education and protect the rights of students. Taliaferro is employed with Bristol Myers Squibb and resides in Woolwich Town- ship with his wife and son. He is the founding board member of the Adam Talia- ferro Foundation, which provides emotional, financial and educational support to student-athletes who suffer catastrophic head or spinal injuries. Taliaferro was a Penn State University football player who suffered a spinal-cord injury after tackling an opponent headfirst during his freshman year. He was told that he had only a small chance of ever walking again due to the injury, but was able to overcome his paralysis and walked out of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in just four months. He graduated from Penn State, on time in 2005, and is a 2008 gradu- ate of Rutgers School of Law – Camden. In 2011, he was elected to the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Taliaferro has received many awards, including the 2009 Philadelphia Sports Writers Humanitarian Award and Bank of America’s Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Award.
