ARS IPPANY , NJ — As the food indus- try continues to grow in New Jersey, Hollister Construction Services has emerged as a leader in the construction of a wide range of food-related facilities. During the past few years, Hollister has provided construction services for some of the largest and most important facilities in the state, and has played a pivotal role in the growth of the food industry in the state and region. “New Jersey’s location, with proximity to large cities such as NewYork and Philadelphia, and access to reliable infra- structure and America’s busi- est seaport, make it an ideal location for food manufactur- ing and distribution,” said Hollister president Kieran Flanagan . “Other assets, such as a skilled workforce and long-term economic growth trends, indicate that the re- cent expansion of food-related facilities will continue.” In 2016, Hollister initiated one major New Jersey project and began the completion of another. increase its warehouse space and operations areas from 218,000 s/f to 507,000 s/f, and will allow the company to increase its employee count from 450 to 800 in the span of five years. Meanwhile, Hollister will soon complete its work for phase one of AeroFarms, the world’s largest indoor vertical farm. The innovative 69,000 s/f facility will produce up to two million pounds per year of leafy greens in an environ- mentally controlled, safe and sanitary facility. In the New York region, Hol- lister just started the renova- tion of an existing warehouse for Citymeals on Wheels. The facility is being transformed

into a 25,000 s/f distribution and office space in the Bronx. It will feature a distribu- tion line, storage areas, office space, an expansive board- room and a kitchen and lounge space for warehouse. In 2015, Hollister completed the second phase of its work on the Newark Farmers Mar- ket, which included a 127,000 s/f freezer warehouse, which offers different large-capac- ity storage areas for use by Wakefern Food Corp. This also compliments Hollister’s phase-one work on the project, which included a 180,000 s/f, temperature-controlled dis- tribution center that delivers produce to ShopRite stores throughout the northeast. n
