JOSHUA BROWN ’23

Why did you choose health care at UW-Stevens Point: Some of my favorite things about UWSP are the close-knit community and interaction with professors and classmates in smaller class sizes, and an education in health care contains much of the same. UWSP has a great blend of classwork and hands-on experience to help you grow and prepare for your next step. The commitment UWSP has to the underserved rural populations of Wisconsin is really important to me as that is who I will likely work with in the future. Career Aspirations: I hope to be able to make a positive difference in people’s lives every day and help people through improving their movement. To do this I will finish my undergraduate degree and continue my education to become a doctor of physical therapy. I’m not sure what type of work setting or specific populations I’d want to work with yet, but I’m excited to find my fit in the coming years. Special Skills/Talents: I’m hard-working, dedicated, organized, patient and open-minded. A talent of mine that I enjoy doing is playing the piano.
